This is a new era. Social media sites like LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook have created a permanent, long-lasting shift in the way we work and connect with people. Seventy-five percent of Americans are online. Leading-edge organizations realize their future depends on being on the forefront of new technologies. This magazine now has a group on LinkedIn for mailing systems professionals, yet it doesn't have a lot of members yet. Many are unaware of the possibilities that social media has to offer. In today's column, I hope to show you some new potential for utilizing this technology and inspire you to join our group.
