The United States Postal Service (USPS) has made some revisions to its organization structure with regards to the Area and District offices. The New York Metro Area has been consolidated into the Northeast Area, and several district offices in various areas have been consolidated as well.
As part of Window Book's endeavor to raise and maintain mailing industry awareness, we are pleased to provide you with this link to an updated map of the United States Postal Service (USPS) Area and District offices, including the ZIP codes serviced by each office.

The USPS structure is currently organized into eight geographically based Area offices:
- Northeast Area
- Capital Metro Area
- Eastern Area
- Southeast Area
- Great Lakes Area
- Southwest Area
- Western Area
- Pacific Area

The Area offices report to USPS headquarters in Washington DC. Within each Area, the structure is further broken down into District offices, with 7 to 14 district offices reporting to each Area.

For further information regarding the USPS Area and District offices, contact your local Business Service Network representative.
